Senior Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable data pipelines that integrate data across diverse systems with reliability and efficiency.
• Establish and uphold analytics engineering best practices, including coding standards, data governance, performance optimization, and automation strategies.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to the team's ongoing improvements in coding practices and methodologies.
• Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines and reusable frameworks to process data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Proactively monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to maintain high availability and performance across data workflows.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment, testing, and maintenance of analytics engineering processes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, engineers, analysts, product managers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliver data solutions.
• Articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders to foster alignment and shared understanding of data initiatives.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, dbt, and Snowflake.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git and workflow management tools such as Airflow.
• Proven experience designing and building scalable data pipelines and architectures.
• Strong understanding of data governance, quality assurance, and performance optimization in a data engineering context.
• Expertise in ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and integrating data from multiple sources into a data warehouse.
• Experience with CI/CD workflows and tools for data engineering.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
