Job Description

Senior Data Scientist at Sagility focusing on healthcare programs, applying mathematical modeling, ML/NLP, and predictive analytics to build cross-client ML/AI solutions and analyze program performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and interpret information using mathematical modeling and optimization techniques to support clients' strategic decisions.
  • Assess population health management program performance using propensity matching; analyze baseline and study periods for test and control groups with Python, SAS, Power BI, and Excel.
  • Implement advanced statistical, machine learning, and natural language processing models.
  • Use fraud, waste, and abuse analysis methods to generate actionable insights for end users.
  • Analyze lift in care management programs, medication adherence, and clinical visits with propensity-based approaches to measure operational impact on key program metrics.
  • Produce probabilistic models aligned with Home Health and Long-Term Care business contexts.
  • Build predictive models to improve savings and operational efficiency across pre and post-payment cycles for multiple payment types.
  • Design and deliver ML/AI solutions on cross-client platforms to identify inappropriate provider behavior and stratify social risk.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering (Any), Data Analytics, or a related field, with at least five years of experience in the offered role or a similar data-focused position.
  • Five years of experience with statistical and predictive modeling techniques including machine learning and natural language processing; data mining and conducting statistical studies; evaluating program performance; and programming in Python, R, SQL, and SAS to extract and transform data from multiple data sources.
  • Three years of experience with healthcare data modeling, covering both insurance and providers; knowledge of healthcare economics, managing care plans, billing requirements, subscriber and provider responsibilities, utilization management, risk identification and adjustment, and long-term care.
