Senior Data Scientist

Motorola Solutions is hiring a Senior Data Scientist for the Design and Tools (D&T) organization, focused on leading Artificial Intelligence & Analytics initiatives and deploying predictive/prescriptive ML models into enterprise platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the Artificial Intelligence & Analytics stream within the D&T ecosystem to maximize team outcomes
• Act as the primary technical subject matter expert to guide internal data strategies across the organization
• Translate complex partner requirements into augmented experiences that improve end-to-end user workflows
• Design, build, and deploy advanced analytical and statistical machine learning models that support business decisions
• Create custom predictive and prescriptive machine learning models for preventative system health checks
• Build automated root cause analysis tools and system log analytics to surface critical insights
• Enable high-performing automation solutions across core CMO software technologies
• Embed intelligent data models into Salesforce and ServiceNow using platform-integrated logic
• Collaborate across technical lines to integrate distinct data layers into a single active operational fabric

Requirements

• Machine Learning & Statistical Modeling experience designing predictive infrastructure and deploying statistical algorithms
• Data Mining & Analytics experience processing large-scale datasets and extracting operational insights
• Salesforce & ServiceNow development experience embedding automated logic and workflows in standard corporate tools
• Python / R experience writing clean, scalable data science code and maintaining custom software modules
• System Log Analytics experience monitoring system health metrics and interpreting log data patterns
• Solution translation experience converting stakeholder requirements into production-ready software deployments
• Project orchestration experience independently managing analytics efforts from data gathering through final model deployment
• Technical communications experience explaining complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical and executive partners
• Familiarity with building agentic or delegate workflows within cloud enterprise architecture
• Experience designing cognitive shortcuts or system checks that reduce operational friction for global technical teams

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or an IT related field
• 4+ years of experience in data analytics, data mining, or machine learning
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely required; employer work permit sponsorship is not available

Compensation & Logistics

• Target base salary range: $120,000 - $140,000 per year
• Location: Schaumburg, IL (hybrid)
• Travel requirements: Under 10%
• Relocation provided: None
