Job Description

GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to support Unison, a GE Aerospace company, by building data science solutions that translate customer requirements into usable, business-focused outcomes. This role sits within a small team environment and contributes to AI and ML initiatives, including FLIGHT DECK efforts, while working with complex datasets across multiple business functions.

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate with a small team to rapidly develop data science solutions that deliver clear business value to Unison.
  • Partner with internal customers to assimilate requirements and convert them into working solutions.
  • Apply analytic expertise, data knowledge, and user experience skills to support ongoing delivery.
  • Work closely with Unison functional teams to help deliver impactful AI/ML projects, including FLIGHT DECK initiatives such as Kaizen, VSM, and Gemba.
  • Build solutions for projects involving large and/or complex data sets, supporting business functions including asset in-service deployment, fleet monitoring and management, OEM, MRO, supply chain, and financial operations.
  • Develop, test, and deploy data science solutions with internal stakeholders to address real-world problems and drive measurable value.
  • Create custom in-house analytics tools tailored to customer needs.
  • Use AI and ML techniques including LLMs, Computer Vision, Neural Networks, and Advanced Statistical methods.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with minimum 2 years of professional experience, OR an Associate’s degree with minimum 5 years of professional experience, OR a High School Diploma with minimum 7 years of professional experience.
  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
  • GE Aerospace will not sponsor individuals for employment visas for this job, now or in the future.
  • Role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Employment is contingent on proving U.S. Person status as a U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, or having been granted asylum or refugee status (as described under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

  • Interest in the Aerospace or Aviation industry
  • Ability to leverage curiosity and creativity to drive business impact
  • Comfort working within a team or independently
  • Ability to complete specific tasks to required timelines
  • Strong communication skills for sharing complex technical information with peers, experts, non-experts, and customers
  • Ability to solicit and respond to customer feedback
