Senior Data Scientist - AI Trainer
Job Description
Work fully remote as you help train AI models to reason with quantitative data. This contract role is flexible by project and schedule, letting you work from your own computer while contributing directly to the next generation of AI systems built for analytics.
You will evaluate AI-generated quantitative outputs, create problems for training and benchmarking, and support model improvement through clear technical communication and high-quality analytical code.
What you’ll do
- Review AI-generated quantitative work, including statistical analysis, predictive modeling, scientific reasoning, and data-driven insights, ensuring technical accuracy and real-world validity.
- Develop and solve quantitative problems that support training and benchmarking across areas such as forecasting, experimental analysis, optimization, and statistical inference.
- Produce clear technical explanations and well-documented analytical code that can be reused and reviewed.
- Provide targeted feedback that informs the refinement of AI models focused on quantitative reasoning.
What you bring
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in a quantitative role or research environment, such as data science, statistics, economics, finance, physics, biology, epidemiology, operations research, or a closely related field.
- Coding experience with comfort writing and reviewing analytical code end-to-end.
- Practical experience with statistical methods, predictive modeling, and experiment design (for example: A/B testing, hypothesis testing, regression, classification, time-series forecasting).
- Fluency in English (native or bilingual) with strong technical writing skills.
- A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field is preferred (Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar). A Master’s or PhD is a plus.
- Relevant credentials are a plus, such as Kaggle Competition ranking or AWS/GCP ML certifications, or other demonstrated expertise.
