Senior Java & AI Engineer

Resolution Technologies invites experienced engineers to join the Plano, TX onsite team as a Senior Java & AI Engineer. This role centers on owning the AI development environment within an agile WFM software team, designing, building, and integrating AI agents, tools, and workflows to increase velocity, improve quality, and ensure consistency across projects. It is an opportunity to influence technical direction while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and document robust technical solutions that meet business needs and align with corporate architectural standards.
• Own and continuously enhance the AI development environment, including coding agents, tools, workflows, and infrastructure to maximize engineering velocity, quality, and consistency.
• Design, construct, and optimize coding agents, prompts, and associated workflows.
• Define and maintain agent instructions, skills, plugins, and tool integrations.
• Assemble tools into a cohesive agent-driven development pipeline.
• Enable AI assisted Spec-Driven Development from idea through specification, implementation, and validation.
• Create solid unit, integration, and automation tests in line with organizational standards.
• Troubleshoot and maintain existing applications; identify opportunities for improvement and implement them; collaborate with external stakeholders as needed.
• Develop technical designs and models for assigned components.
• Contribute to and steer technology and architectural decisions.
• Participate in design and code reviews for team members.
• Elevate team performance by recognizing strengths and opportunities and applying coaching and development techniques.
• Collaborate with the Scrum Team and stakeholders to influence decisions and support project or product initiatives.
• Promote and advance Agile practices within the organization.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of Java web application development experience.
• Strong interest and hands-on experience with AI coding tools and LLM-based systems.
• Experience with agents, prompts, MCP/tools, or similar ecosystems.
• Comfortable with low-level details such as tokens, context windows, latency, and coordinating tools.
• Expertise in server-side Java development using Hibernate, Spring, RESTful Web Services, and server-side testing with JUnit and Mockito or EasyMock.
• Experience with web application development using Angular, HTML5, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, Spring MVC; familiarity with unit and end-to-end testing using Cucumber, Selenium, or Playwright is highly desirable.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar, and the ability to integrate generative AI into the software development lifecycle for code generation, debugging, and optimization.
• Familiarity with Vibe Coding methodologies including rapid prototyping, iterative development, and AI-assisted creative problem solving to accelerate velocity.
• Proven track record of driving technical innovation, evaluating and adopting new technologies, improving processes, and mentoring peers on advanced practices.
• AWS experience is a plus.
• Experience with multi-tier web applications.
• Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and Test-Driven Development.
• Experience with JBoss or Tomcat.
• Experience with Maven and Jenkins is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts including definitions of done, user stories, automated testing, and backlog refinement.
• An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
