Sr Analytics Engineer
Job Description
The Senior Analytics Engineer at Health Care Service Corporation designs and builds data integrations to deliver Enterprise BI Data Marts and BI semantic data layers, constructs end-to-end data pipelines, and supports multiple projects within the DAS organization. This hybrid position is based in Richardson, TX with opportunities in Chicago, IL. Salary range: USD 92,700 - 167,500 per yearly.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement data integrations to deliver Enterprise BI Data Marts and BI Semantic Data Layer(s).
- Design and develop end-to-end data integration pipelines.
- Manage multiple projects within the Enterprise Business Analytics and BI team and provide support to others within the DAS organization.
- Contribute to HCSC and DAS initiatives to improve data processes, technology infrastructure, and reporting/analytic services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience, or nine years of equivalent experience with data integration platforms.
- Strong technical experience in Business Intelligence Architecture and technologies.
- Experience working with a data architecture team to develop or manage a universal semantic model.
- Ability to work with business stakeholders to design and develop data products solutions to enable insights.
- Experience working with Hadoop stack such as HDFS, Hive, Spark, PySpark/Python, Sqoop.
- Experience working with MPP platforms like Teradata BTEQ, SQL, T-SQL, etc.
- Experience working with Azure, ADLS, ADF, Azure SQL, etc.
- Knowledge of DevOps, continuous deployment, and integration processes and tools.
- Knowledge of enterprise scheduling tools such as Control-M.
- Avid learner with the ability to gain a solid understanding of available data and promote innovative insights.
- Strong analytical, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to source, interpret, and present analytics in a thoughtful and meaningful manner.
- Proactive self-starter, quick learner, flexible team-player, able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to multi-task, maintain strong attention to detail, and prioritize work within tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare sector experience preferred

- Strong knowledge of SQL, analytics tools and languages to analyze large data sets from multiple data sources
