Job Description
Responsibilities
- Create scalable, high-quality software modules for the next generation analytics solution suite.
- Prototype innovative, high-impact solutions by leveraging AWS cloud and big data tech to meet evolving business needs.
- Demonstrate broad technical competency capable of delivering work of substantial complexity.
- Partner with functional management to analyze short and long-range business requirements and propose innovations that anticipate future needs.
- Collaborate with client management to identify and specify complex requirements across diverse development platforms and environments, including cloud, on-premises, distributed systems, and client-server setups.
- Provide expert technical consulting and leadership in applying new information technologies to help business units meet strategic objectives.
- Review disaster recovery plans to ensure new systems support uninterrupted operations.
- Coordinate activities with cross-functional IT stakeholders such as database, operations, telecommunications, and technical support teams.
- Research and evaluate alternative solutions, recommending the most efficient and cost-effective option for system design.
- Frame business problems into logical specifications and develop, test, and implement efficient application solutions, reusing or integrating existing code where appropriate.
- Prepare charts, tables, and diagrams to aid problem analysis using diverse analytical techniques.
- Analyze existing systems and logic to improve efficiency and troubleshoot issues, updating logic and procedures as needed.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison for interaction with other cross-functional units and teams.
- Allocate personnel to projects or components and guide their activities.
- Review and prepare periodic activity and progress reports for the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in a related occupation.
- 5 years of experience in ETL.
- 5 years of experience in Data Integration.
- 5 years of experience in Informatica.
- 5 years of experience in IDMC.
- 2 years of experience in Cloud (AWS) technologies.
- 2 years of experience in Oracle.
- 2 years of experience in SQL.
- 2 years of experience in Python.
- 2 years of experience in PySpark.
- 2 years of experience in Unix/Linux shell scripting.
- 2 years of experience in Autosys scheduling tool.
- 2 years of experience in version control tools.
- 2 years of experience in data warehouse applications.
- 2 years of experience in data modeling.
- 2 years of experience in Big Data distributed processing (HDFS, Hive, Spark).
- 2 years of experience in data analytical languages.

Compensation
Salary range: $147,430.00 to $170,040.00 annually. The listed base pay is based on external market analysis and may vary based on performance, proficiency, and demonstrated competencies. Base pay is one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package, which may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is $147,430.00 to $170,040.
