Sr. Data Scientist

A senior role is available at Flexible & Integrated Technical Services, LLC in Juncos, PR, onsite. This position focuses on expanding a commercial organization’s data science, machine learning, and AI capabilities while partnering with stakeholders to turn analytical work into actionable outcomes. The work also includes meeting applicable regulatory, security, and privacy requirements for data assets.

As a Sr. Data Scientist, you will lead initiatives end to end, collaborate across functions, and independently drive progress with limited supervision. The role emphasizes Python-driven model development, SQL-based data work, and clear communication through presentations.

What you will do

• Lead, use, and further develop data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence capabilities across the commercial organization.
• Own and contribute to cross-functional projects and programs aimed at systematically deriving insights.
• Take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Identify business needs, perform SWOT analysis, propose analytical approaches, obtain approvals, and execute solutions.
• Build high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models, and proof of concepts using Python.
• Work with SQL and other database query languages to support analysis and model development.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define appropriate methodology for specific business questions.
• Present analysis ideas, progress, and results to business partners in a clear and impactful way.
• Create “powerful stories” in PowerPoint, with strong proficiency in the MS Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and privacy requirements related to data assets.

Skills and qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree plus 4 years of experience as a Scientist or Engineer in the pharmaceutical or other regulated industry.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Project Management skills.

Relevant experience

• Experience with Python, R, SQL, TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV, or similar analytics and visualization platforms.
• Providing Manufacturing support in vial filling.
