Job Description
Twilio seeks a Staff Analytics Engineer focused on GTM Data Science and Analytics to design and maintain a trusted business data layer for go-to-market data. This role enables reliable sales analytics, reporting, data science, and AI, while aligning cross-functional teams on key Sales and Finance metrics.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a formal business data layer in dbt, centralizing data from multiple sources and providing a single source of truth for GTM metrics.
- Collaborate with GTM Operations and Finance to define, document, and maintain alignment on core business metrics and data definitions.
- Develop and maintain automated data reconciliation and quality checks to proactively identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring accuracy of reports and dashboards.
- Mentor and guide members of the data science and analytics team, promoting best practices in data modeling, testing, documentation, and code reviews.
- Lead investigations into complex data anomalies, perform root cause analysis, and communicate findings and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, business intelligence, or a related field, with a preference for direct GTM or sales analytics experience in a SaaS environment.
- Advanced SQL skills and hands-on experience designing data models and orchestrating data pipelines using dbt.
- Proven ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders to codify, document, and reconcile critical business metrics, ensuring company-wide data alignment.
- Track record of implementing robust data quality and testing frameworks, including dbt tests, CI/CD, and data observability.
- Strong technical communication and mentorship capabilities, able to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.

Location
This role is remote, but is not eligible to be hired in California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, or Washington.
Travel
Occasional travel may be required to participate in project or team in-person meetings.

Compensation
The estimated pay ranges for this role vary by location and are as follows:
- Based in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Vermont or Washington D.C.: USD 155,520 - 194,400 per year.
- Based in New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): USD 164,640 - 205,800 per year.
- Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: USD 182,960 - 228,700 per year.
This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and corporate bonus plan. Starting salary is determined based on skills, experience, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable non-discriminatory factors. In addition, health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, and paid parental leave are generally available.
