Supply Chain Data Analyst - MDM
Job Description
Onsite in Hagerstown, MD, this Supply Chain Data Analyst - MDM role on the Supply Chain Digitalization team supports GPSC decisions by identifying, collecting, processing, and analyzing datasets, acting as data steward/SME, and collaborating with data engineers and scientists; salary ranges from USD 73,200 to 117,800 per year.
Responsibilities
- Identify, acquire, explore, prepare, assess, and maintain datasets from internal sources to support analyses and ad hoc investigations for function-specific projects.
- Lead master data management initiatives and related system deployments to preserve data integrity across high-impact GPSC data sources.
- Under limited supervision, perform data analysis tasks, visualization work, data quality improvements, and troubleshoot data incidents including root-cause resolution.
- Apply SQL and statistical techniques to acquire, enrich, and analyze data.
- Manage incidents, changes, problems, tasks, and requests related to data operations.
- Leverage knowledge of processes, people, products, data, and systems within at least one business unit.
- Define business problems and identify opportunities.
- Define relevant data dimensions and metrics.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers to draft and test data views meeting project needs.
- Partner with Data Scientists to gain a basic understanding of predictive and prescriptive analytics, and foundations of ML and AI.
- Provide data to validate problems and opportunities.
- Draft goals, roles, and sustainment plans for initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data needs for solutions, often within a single business function.
- Apply technical writing and verbal communication to support change management and ongoing management of data solutions.
- Engage in analytics Communities of Practice across functions, business units, and digital technology groups.
- Assist citizen analysts in building views and in analyzing, interpreting, and communicating data insights.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent qualification.
- Three or more years of experience in data analysis, information technology, or related areas.
- Experience with web-based applications including Power BI, Azure Databricks, and the Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
