Vice President, Data Analyst & BI

This senior leadership role oversees data analytics and business intelligence strategy, governance, and data management for The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation, based on-site in Berwyn, PA. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data analytics strategies that leverage advanced analytical tools and methodologies to strengthen business intelligence capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data-driven opportunities and provide insights that support strategic decision-making.
• Establish robust data governance frameworks and conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Lead initiatives to improve data management processes and enhance data accessibility and usability for stakeholders.
• Mentor and guide junior data analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
• Drive the adoption of innovative data solutions by staying current with emerging trends and technologies in data analytics and business intelligence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience required. Advanced degree preferred.
• Typically 5 to 8 years of experience, with prior financial services industry experience essential.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with expertise in data visualization and business intelligence tools.
• Experience developing Oracle SQL, Python, and Perl.
• Experience with Bert is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in data management and governance practices to ensure high standards of data quality and integrity.
