Job Description

Sample News Group is hiring a Data Analyst in Corry, PA (onsite) to turn complex data into practical insights for a fast-paced media environment.

Responsibilities

Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business goals and deliver data-driven solutions
Collect, clean, and structure large datasets from multiple sources
Perform deep statistical analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and insights using data manipulation techniques
Build, maintain, and improve data models and dashboards used by different departments
Work with stakeholders to define KPIs and establish performance metrics for tracking success
Spot opportunities for improvement and recommend next steps based on analysis
Keep current with industry trends and advancements in data analytics to strengthen processes and strategies

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
2+ years of experience in data analysis or a similar role
Strong programming skills in SQL and experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
Experience applying statistical analysis, data manipulation, and data mining techniques
Proven ability to identify trends and patterns and translate them into actionable insights
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to present complex data clearly
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects at once
