Data Analyst

Sample News Group is hiring a Data Analyst in Corry, PA (onsite) to turn complex data into practical insights for a fast-paced media environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business goals and deliver data-driven solutions
• Collect, clean, and structure large datasets from multiple sources
• Perform deep statistical analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and insights using data manipulation techniques
• Build, maintain, and improve data models and dashboards used by different departments
• Work with stakeholders to define KPIs and establish performance metrics for tracking success
• Spot opportunities for improvement and recommend next steps based on analysis
• Keep current with industry trends and advancements in data analytics to strengthen processes and strategies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in data analysis or a similar role
• Strong programming skills in SQL and experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
• Experience applying statistical analysis, data manipulation, and data mining techniques
• Proven ability to identify trends and patterns and translate them into actionable insights
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to present complex data clearly
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects at once
