Analytics Engineer - AI Trainer

DataAnnotation invites an Analytics Engineer - AI Trainer to evaluate AI generated quantitative output, design training challenges, and provide constructive feedback to enhance AI systems' quantitative reasoning. This contract role is based in Elgin, Illinois, with fully remote work options and an hourly rate up to USD 60.

Responsibilities

• Assess AI produced quantitative work for technical accuracy and real world relevance, covering statistical analysis, predictive modeling, scientific reasoning, and data driven insights.
• Develop and solve quantitative problems used to train and benchmark AI systems, spanning forecasting, experimental analysis, optimization, and statistical inference.
• Produce clear technical explanations and maintain well documented analytical code.
• Deliver feedback that directly informs the next generation of AI models designed for quantitative reasoning.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands on experience in a quantitative role or research setting, such as data science, statistics, economics, finance, physics, biology, epidemiology, operations research, or a related field.
• Some coding experience with comfort writing and reviewing end to end analytical code.
• Practical experience with statistical methods, predictive modeling, and experiment design including A/B testing, hypothesis testing, regression, classification, and time series forecasting.
• Fluency in English with strong writing ability.
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field is preferred; a master's degree or PhD is a plus.
• Relevant credentials such as Kaggle competition ranking or cloud ML certifications (AWS/GCP) are advantageous.
