Corporate Finance Analytics, Senior Associate
Job Description
Based in New York, NY onsite, the Senior Associate on JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s Corporate Finance Analytics team contributes to firmwide financial analysis, leads key projects, mentors junior colleagues, and prepares reporting materials for senior management.
Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, data charts and validation for the Chairman & CEO Letter to Shareholders, coordinating with multiple teams and business partners across the firm, while guiding and mentoring junior team members and reviewing their outputs for accuracy.
- Serve as the lead reviewer for quarterly and ad hoc competitor analyses, earnings coverage and research, owning deliverables end to end and ensuring methodological rigor by evaluating approaches, challenging assumptions, and providing constructive feedback.
- Complete ad hoc projects and analyses addressing high-priority, topical issues for senior management.
- Perform ad hoc and monthly valuation analyses with an understanding of various techniques, including Dividend Discount Modeling.
- Support data preparation for external and internal events such as Investor Day.
- Manage weekly and monthly firmwide financial reporting, along with ad hoc reporting requests from senior management.
- Develop proficiency in systems such as FactSet and Capital IQ for competitor research, financial analysis, the Chairman & CEO Letter to Shareholders, and other ad hoc requests.
- Create PowerPoint presentations for senior management, including ad hoc analyses, town halls, and other business-as-usual reporting.
- Integrate internal AI/ML tools into competitor coverage and other financial reporting to improve efficiency and output quality.
- Continuously assess processes and propose enhancements.
- Support mentoring, teaching and development of talent across the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a related role such as planning and analysis, investor relations, or corporate finance.
- Advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Strong analytical abilities, creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Capable of managing end-to-end projects with a high degree of autonomy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly.
- Team-oriented, able to be respected as a trusted partner for the Business, Finance, and FP&A Teams.
- Ability to generate ideas for improving internal processes.
