Job Description

JPMorganChase is hiring a Senior Analytics Engineer within Morgan Health in New York, NY (onsite). In this role, you will help strengthen the analytics data foundation for healthcare use cases by building and evolving analytics data models, marts, and production-ready workflows. You will also partner with data scientists and stakeholders to turn complex healthcare data into trusted datasets that teams can rely on.

You will own key parts of the analytics lifecycle, from modeling and testing to CI/CD, monitoring, and ongoing reliability. If you enjoy building reusable data products and improving how teams collaborate through rigorous code review and clear documentation, this position is built around that impact.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Morgan Health healthcare data models, including marts and curated datasets, using SQL and dbt
  • Create proof of concept (POC) solutions based on data scientist requirements, iterate quickly, and evolve POCs into production-level analytics solutions
  • Design and maintain a robust automated testing framework (such as dbt tests, custom checks, and risk-based testing approaches)
  • Design, deploy, and maintain Databricks bundles and production jobs, leveraging environment branching strategies and integrating with Unity Catalog for access-controlled, auditable data asset management
  • Lead code reviews and define quality standards for the dbt codebase, improving traceability, maintainability, and review rigor over time
  • Maintain clear documentation including data dictionaries, model descriptions, metric logic, known limitations, and issue logs to support data governance and HIPAA-aligned compliance standards
  • Investigate and resolve data quality issues in the analytics layer, partnering with the Data Product lead to validate upstream issues and prioritize fixes
  • Build CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows that respond to evolving control requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of professional experience in analytics engineering, data analytics/modeling, or a related role focused on curated datasets for analysts and data scientists
  • Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience building modular, tested, version-controlled SQL transformations with dbt
  • Proven ownership of the full dbt project lifecycle, including automated testing, CI/CD, deployment, environment and version management, monitoring, and production performance and reliability
  • Hands-on Databricks experience (or similar) to develop and support production pipelines and analytics workflows, with experience using Python or R for analysis, testing, and automation
  • Experience creating and maintaining data models, data marts, and transformations that support multiple analytical use cases
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analytics engineering, product/architecture, and platform partners
