CV/NLP/Multimodal LLM Machine Learning Engineer Graduate

This onsite, Seattle-based PhD-track role focuses on CV, NLP, and multimodal LLM within the Trust & Safety organization. The position starts in 2026 and provides opportunities to develop and deploy advanced content understanding models and distributed training pipelines alongside product, engineering, and data science teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product stakeholders to translate business goals into trust and safety initiatives.
• Work with engineering to deploy models, design online inference workflows, and scale serving pipelines.
• Engage with the data science team to understand key challenges and propose data-driven strategies.
• Develop and apply advanced content understanding techniques, including unimodal and multimodal classifiers, active learning models, reinforcement learning models, and large language models.

Requirements

• A PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Operation Research, Applied Mathematics or a closely related quantitative field, either in progress or recently completed.
• Hands-on or academic experience in one or more of the following areas: machine learning, large language models, recommendation systems, and related fields.
• Strong coding skills.
• Curiosity toward new technologies and entrepreneurship, plus good communication and teamwork abilities.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position in Seattle is USD 148,200 - 300,960 annually. Compensation may vary outside this range based on qualifications, skills, experience, and location. Base pay is part of the total package and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units.
