Data Analyst

Obie is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Revenue Operations (RevOps) and Analytics department’s Business Insights team. This role supports data-driven decision making across the business, combining analytics, dashboarding in Sigma, and partnership with Data Engineers and key stakeholders. You’ll also help strengthen data literacy by translating reporting needs and metrics into clear, actionable insights.

What you’ll do

• Develop hypotheses to understand the state of the business, including drivers of growth or stagnation
• Run analyses to answer critical business questions with clear, stakeholder-ready insights
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Sigma within the Business Intelligence / Data Visualization tool
• Align analytics, metrics, data, and reporting needs across teams including Growth & Channel Distribution, Product & Engineering, Insurance, Finance & Accounting, and the Executive team
• Coordinate with Data Engineers, Insurance Product Analysts, and Operations Analysts to deliver reporting that supports business execution
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and tracking
• Perform data quality checks and reconciliations as needed to ensure reliable datasets
• Act as a trusted advisor by answering reporting and metric questions and promoting a culture of data literacy and data-driven decision making

• Experience in data analytics or business analytics, with strong SQL abilities
• Knowledge and interest in insurance
• Ability to drive initiatives start to end while managing competing priorities
• Capability to dive into data details while synthesizing the bigger picture for stakeholders
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
• Team player attitude with a desire to drive impact at a fast growing company

Nice to have

• Experience in insurance, financial services, or similar
• Experience with another analytics tool such as python, R, or similar
• Experience working with AI (Obie uses Claude), github, and dbt
• Experience in strategy, operations and analytics, GTM analytics, financial forecasting, consulting, or similar

Compensation and schedule

Pay range: USD 70,000 - 90,000 per year (Remote, United States). Salary is dependent on factors including years of relevant experience and expertise.

Work location: Remote (remote).

Note: Obie’s Chicago based employees are hybrid and expected to be in office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
