Job Description

Kiewit Corporation is hiring an entry-level Data Analyst to support the Infrastructure Engineers Document Controls team. Based in Omaha, NE (onsite), this role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and automated workflows using Python, SQL, and Microsoft Azure.

Role overview

You will build and improve end-to-end data processing pipelines that ingest, transform, and load data into Azure SQL and other cloud platforms. The work also includes integrating data from APIs and external sources, monitoring automated workflows, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver reliable technical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Python and SQL for ingesting, transforming, and loading data into Azure SQL and other cloud platforms.
  • Integrate data from APIs and external sources while ensuring accuracy, reliability, and scalability.
  • Automate data workflows and processes to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and optimize data models.
  • Monitor data workflows and troubleshoot issues to maintain continuous availability and performance.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across systems while improving performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver technical solutions.
  • Research emerging technologies, patterns, and tools to support ongoing data engineering and cloud innovation.
  • Document processes, maintain version control, and contribute to continuous improvement of ETL frameworks and data architecture.

Requirements

  • BS degree required.
  • 1+ years of experience in data analysis, data engineering, or a related field.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams, integrating across groups and work streams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under deadlines.
  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for learning and taking initiative.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to performing work correctly the first time.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to connect to APIs and ingest data.
  • Ability to automate data workflows and processes.
  • Exposure to AI/ML tools and concepts (preferred).
  • SQL for querying and managing relational databases.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and Snowflake.
  • Understanding of ETL processes and data lineage concepts.
  • Knowledge of data modeling using Power BI.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and Git-based repositories for version control (preferred).

This position is based in the Omaha, NE office.
