Data Analyst / Data Scientist (m/f/diverse)
Job Description
Join an onsite role supporting accurate air cargo and mail processing, including documentation control, dangerous goods checks, and coordinated shipment close-out under professional supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform documentary acceptances for cargo and mail
- Capture shipment data to support accurate processing
- Prioritize export build-up and import breakdown activities
- Prepare export and import documentation, including Manifests and AWBs
- Handle shipment irregularities, including MSCA, MSAW, FDCA, and damages
- Prepare NOTOC
- Complete close out flight tasks
- Manage customer contact (notify customers as needed)
- Hand over AWB and documents to customers
- Perform debit charges
- Conduct Dangerous Goods (DG) acceptance checks in line with current IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR), Lufthansa Cargo policies, and applicable regulatory requirements
- Apply carrier-specific DG requirements and restrictions for other airlines operating within the facility
- Coordinate with Sales teams regarding priority, time-critical, and special-handling shipments to ensure timely processing and compliance
- Support other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED (desirable)
- 2-3 years of experience in logistics or air cargo industry (desirable)
- English fluency required
- Computer skills as a user
