Data Analyst
Job Description
Garud Technology Service Inc is hiring a Data Analyst to support DHS/ICE and OAQ by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets to drive operational decisions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and practice operational security (OPSEC) during daily tasks, and report OPSEC issues or concerns.
- Develop and administer tracking mechanisms, user tools, and worksheets to monitor productivity, ensure mandates are followed, and support deadline delivery.
- Use different analysis approaches to make reasonable inferences and produce well-supported conclusions.
- Respond to data calls using available tools and techniques to solve problems and manage large datasets.
- Create and execute Microsoft Excel scripts and codes to double-check the accuracy of information and work products.
- Apply analytical methods to identify, evaluate, and recommend strategies to resolve complex issues.
- Manage sensitive information, including procurement, law enforcement, or other secure information.
- Support reporting needs by creating dashboards, reports, and insights to inform operational decisions and improve program effectiveness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or six (6) years of experience in Federal procurement or the private sector.
- At least four (4) years of documented experience in data management or data analyst roles supporting a Federal Government agency or entity.
- Experience reviewing spreadsheets and documents in various formats, including the ability to apply multiple analysis strategies to reach reasonable inferences or well-supported conclusions.
- Documented ability to maintain and practice OPSEC, including reporting OPSEC issues or concerns.
- Documented experience crafting and running Microsoft Excel scripts and codes to verify accuracy and deliver consistently high-quality work products.
- Demonstrated experience managing various data formats created and maintained in Microsoft Office products.
- A proven ability to use different strategies for acquiring data and analyzing information to support defensible conclusions.
- Demonstrated creative problem-solving.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and reports for different levels of leadership in a timely manner.
- Experience handling sensitive information (procurement, law enforcement, or other secure information).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to use the Microsoft Suite to create and maintain documents and communications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint, Outlook).

Work Schedule / Location
- Location: On-site in Washington, DC.
- Schedule: 5 days a week, reporting to the Program Manager.
- Work is generally performed on weekdays between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm Eastern Time (ET).
- Adjustments apply for designated Government holidays, facility closures due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government-directed facility closures.
- The contractor is not reimbursed when the government facility is closed for the reasons listed above.
