Data Analyst I

Data Analyst I at the University of Pittsburgh, Department of Neurology, will analyze real world evidence on seizures and clinical trials, primarily remote, using R and regression techniques, with potential training in ML/AI and manuscript writing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates business requirements and performs basic data integration and analysis
• Develops routine analytical and reporting tools utilizing integrated data
• Provides technical support
• Coding multivariable regression in R
• Basic knowledge of statistics, including null hypothesis testing, regression, multivariable regression
• Microsoft Office
• Appropriate handling of protected health information
• Virtual meetings (e.g., Teams)

Requirements

• Familiarity with coding in R
• Familiarity with multivariable generalized linear models (e.g., logistic regression, survival models, log normal regression, rank regression)
• Propensity matching/inverse probability weighting
• Other data wrangling techniques
• Handling of private and protected health information
• Discussion of results and methods with other statistical and non statistical people
• Creation of figures and tables
