Overview
Location: Albuquerque, NM (onsite). Salary: USD 117,500 β 235,700 per year. Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline. Experience: minimum five years. Security: Active DOE Q clearance to start.
Responsibilities
- Provide statistical and methodological support for the Quantification of Margins and Uncertainties (QMU) process and related analyses.
- Examine existing data and perform forensic data analyses to ensure data integrity and reliability.
- Develop automated analytics workflows and integrate them into software to streamline QMU processes.
- Draft requirements and perform verification and validation of applications and algorithms, including automating QMU within software.
- Apply machine learning and deep learning techniques to proactively mine archived stockpile data.
- Prepare briefings, track progress, coordinate efforts, and provide training related to data analysis and surveillance support.
- Collaborate across organizations and engineering teams in an integrated environment.
- Work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and self-starting capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to improve organizational processes and products and implement changes.
- Utilize advanced statistical knowledge, software tools, and programming skills to extract, manipulate, plot, and analyze data from multiple databases and draft comprehensive reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline plus five years of directly relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and engineering or scientific experience that supports independent research and development.
- Active DOE Q clearance or equivalent to start.
