Job Description

InGenesis is seeking a Research & Data Analyst to support applied research, program evaluation, and reporting across education, workforce development, healthcare, and related initiatives. This part-time role is based in Houston, TX (onsite) and focuses on quantitative analysis, evaluation reporting, and clear communication of results to program and research teams.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct descriptive and inferential statistical analyses using survey, administrative, and program data.
  • Clean, merge, validate, and document datasets drawn from multiple sources.
  • Score surveys and assessment measures according to established protocols.
  • Create summary tables, figures, dashboards, and technical appendices to support evaluation deliverables.
  • Calculate and interpret evaluation metrics, including frequencies, percentages, means, standard deviations, effect sizes, correlations, regression models, and subgroup comparisons.
  • Update existing reports and evaluation products as new data become available.
  • Support development of technical reports, grant reports, manuscripts, presentations, and stakeholder-facing products.
  • Translate statistical findings into clear language for non-technical audiences.
  • Maintain organized analytic documentation and reproducible workflows.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (or advanced graduate training) in a related quantitative field.
  • At least 2 years of experience conducting quantitative analyses for research, evaluation, or applied analytics projects.
  • Proficiency in R, SAS, SPSS, Stata, Python, or similar statistical software.
  • Experience working with survey, administrative, or program evaluation data.
  • Strong written communication and technical reporting skills.

Education

Master’s degree (or advanced graduate training) in a related quantitative field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting federally funded, state-funded, or grant-funded research and evaluation projects.
  • Familiarity with education, workforce development, healthcare, early childhood, or social service programs.
  • Experience producing stakeholder-facing reports and data visualizations.
  • Experience conducting subgroup analyses and longitudinal analyses.
