Energy Data Analyst
Job Description
The Cadmus Group, Inc. is seeking an Energy Data Analyst to support utility and government clients with advanced analytics that measure the impact of intervention strategies. This onsite role in Boulder, CO focuses on evaluating system and market dynamics while strengthening demand-side management (DSM) engagements through research design, analysis, modeling, reporting, and client-ready deliverables.
Working closely with project teams, you will contribute to consulting engagements across demand response, renewable energy, electrification (transportation and buildings), and energy efficiency program evaluations or policy, along with supporting potential studies, planning, and program design.
What you’ll do
- Support client consulting engagements by assisting with research design, data collection, data analysis, modeling, tool development, refinement, and reporting, including work tied to demand response, renewable energy, electrification, and energy efficiency programs or policy.
- Recommend and apply analytic methods and solutions to address client questions.
- Perform independent analysis using standard and advanced statistical techniques.
- Contribute to primary and secondary data collection and conduct statistical and/or econometric analyses to assess program and policy impacts.
- Interpret results to form clear conclusions and recommendations for inclusion in well-written, concise reports.
- Create detailed reports and presentations that communicate analysis results, research findings, methodologies, and data sources clearly and concisely.
- Assist with task management and oversight in coordination with project teams to support timely, client-focused delivery.
- Communicate clearly and consistently with project teams, Cadmus leadership, and support teams across time zones, raising concerns early, sharing constructive feedback, and helping manage expectations.
- Collaborate across Cadmus to deliver accurate, high-value work products.
Requirements
- MA/MS in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or other related quantitative fields with 0 to 2 years of relevant professional experience, or BA/BS in a related field with 2 to 4 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience with statistical software programming in R, Python, or Stata.
- Experience with databases and SQL.
- Demonstrated experience with inferential statistics, including sampling and research design, statistical analysis, and regression analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Initiative and ability to prioritize and take ownership of assignments, including task management or project accountability in a fast-paced, deliverable-driven environment.
- Desire to grow professionally and take on challenging assignments.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word and Excel.

Compensation and location
- Location: Boulder, CO (onsite)
- Salary range: USD 70,000 - 85,000 per year
