Job Description

Join Johns Hopkins University’s Department of Pediatrics in the Infectious Disease division as a casual Research Data Analyst supporting research across multiple projects and studies. This role focuses on building and maintaining a research data pipeline, performing statistical analysis, and producing clear reporting that helps teams understand findings and move research forward. This position is based in New Orleans, LA (remote) and offers an hourly base salary range of USD 23 to 40.

What you’ll do

  • Collect data and generate reports and models for assigned research efforts.
  • Run models, analyze model results, and prepare analysis reports.
  • Conduct analyses aligned to the needs of the assigned research project or study.
  • Perform statistical analyses using standard statistical software packages.
  • Design and prepare tables that illustrate analytic findings.
  • Manage or contribute to data entry in the assigned database.
  • May take on other research-related responsibilities as needed.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline.
  • 3 years of related experience.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience, as permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Education and experience equivalency: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience, in line with the JHU Equivalency Formula.

Preferred qualifications

  • Extensive experience with STATA and/or R.
  • Experience with REDCap, Endnote, MS Word, and MS Excel.

Additional information

  • The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of Johns Hopkins University’s salary range for this position.
  • Applicants who do not meet the posted requirements but are completing their final academic semester/quarter may be considered eligible for employment and may be asked to confirm the completion date.
