Job Description
Xpect Solutions is seeking a Data Analytics Engineer to support a Federal Government customer delivering secure, cloud-based mission systems. In this onsite role in Crystal City, VA, you will design and deploy scalable reporting and analytics capabilities, including data pipelines and high-performance dashboards.
You will work closely with stakeholders to translate complex data needs into practical solutions, while integrating disparate sources and maintaining data integrity and security throughout the reporting and analytics lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Gather requirements and partner with stakeholders to understand complex data needs and emerging business objectives
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable, high-performance reporting systems and analytics tools
- Create and optimize SQL queries, dashboards, and data visualization tools based on client requirements
- Identify, research, and integrate disparate data sources while maintaining data integrity and security
- Communicate effectively with clients and cross-functional teams; respond to requirements in tight timeframes
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain Public Trust Level 6C
- Ability to work onsite in Crystal City, Virginia, 1 day per week
- 5+ years of experience
- Experience with report and dashboard development
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL
- Experience with AWS services: S3, RDS, EC2, Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch
- Knowledge of JSON and JSON format mediation techniques
- Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools: PowerBI and Tableau
- Experience with DevSecOps tools and techniques: Jenkins and Git
- Experience with data management and aggregation patterns including data warehouse, data mart, data lake, delta lake, lakehouse, and data mesh
