Data Engineer
Job Description
The Data Engineer role at CVS Health focuses on building and delivering modern data solutions that support payer file processing into the Data Warehouse. The position includes on-premise development and integration work, along with support for cloud migration efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering, analysts, data scientists, and product teams to deliver high-quality modern data solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Design, integrate, and implement data solutions on-premise, and support migrations of existing workloads to the cloud.
- Process payer files into the Data Warehouse.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience working with SQL and relational database management systems.
- 2+ years of experience with Cloud Data Engineering Platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, and similar technologies.
- 2+ years of experience with on-prem Data Engineering Platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, and similar systems.
- Programming and modifying code using SQL, Python, and PySpark to support cloud-based and on-prem data warehousing services.
- Hands-on experience with dimensional data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting data issues.
- Hands-on experience using performance improvement techniques.
- Willingness to identify and implement process improvements and best practices, with the ability to take ownership in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-based support environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Compensation
- Pay range: USD 64,890 - 173,040 per yearly
- Typical pay range stated: $64,890.00 - $173,040.00
- This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
