Data engineer

Apex Fintech Solutions is hiring a Data Engineer in Austin, TX for a hybrid role. In this position, you will help keep data dependable and ready for use by operating, maintaining, and continuously improving data pipelines and storage systems that support business insights and financial services technology.

You will be responsible for building data infrastructure that emphasizes data quality, accuracy, timeliness, accessibility, and processing speed, while working with stakeholders to ensure systems align with business needs. The role also includes documentation and operational support across environments during business hours.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize data pipelines, focusing on robustness and scalability for large volumes of data
• Develop and maintain real-time database systems and data warehousing solutions aligned to business requirements
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and implement systems that enable critical business insights through data analytics
• Improve data quality and reliability by applying modern data management techniques and technologies
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying optimizations that reduce downtime and improve data processing efficiency
• Document data architecture processes and systems while following industry standards and company policies
• Support data platform operations in all environments during business hours

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python and 2+ years of experience with Cloud Data technologies
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate large amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience with ETL processes using microservices

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
