What you’ll do
- Design, build, and operationalize scalable data engineering solutions for Lennar data platforms and products.
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines that consolidate information from diverse data sources.
- Create data ingestion and integration solutions using batch, incremental loads, CDC, streaming, and API-based approaches.
- Design and implement data models, data warehouses, data lakes, and modern cloud data platforms.
- Build reliable, reusable, and maintainable transformation processes that support trusted data for analysts, data scientists, and business teams.
- Enhance data quality and strengthen reliability through observability, monitoring, and error handling across pipelines and platforms.
- Create automated testing, CI/CD workflows, version control practices, and other engineering standards that improve delivery quality and speed.
- Partner with data analysts, data scientists, product teams, software engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver data solutions aligned to business outcomes.
- Help enable self-service data capabilities so teams across Lennar can access and use data more easily.
- Contribute to data governance, security, compliance, and access-control practices.
- Troubleshoot complex data and platform issues, identifying opportunities to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Stay current with emerging data technologies and engineering practices and help identify opportunities to apply them at Lennar.
Requirements
- Professional experience designing, developing, and supporting data pipelines, platforms, products, or related engineering solutions.
- Strong command of data engineering fundamentals, including data modeling, transformation, ingestion, testing, monitoring, and data quality.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with one or more programming languages such as Python.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and modern data engineering technologies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to break down complex technical challenges.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and data consumers.
- A growth mindset with willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and approaches.
- Interest in understanding the business context behind data and building solutions with meaningful business value.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- For more senior opportunities: experience with data architecture, technical leadership, mentoring, platform strategy, and designing highly scalable data solutions.

Office and physical requirements
- Primarily a sedentary office position requiring ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move/carry up to 25 lbs; finger dexterity is necessary.
- Travel may be required up to 10% of the time to locations within the Lennar family of companies.
