Data Engineer - GCP/Spark/Scala

Infosys is seeking a Data Engineer to join onsite in Bentonville, NC, where you will design, build, test, and maintain data-driven software solutions. This role encompasses requirements elicitation, design collaboration, coding, testing, documentation, and production support, with emphasis on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Apache Spark, and Scala.

Responsibilities

• Support the requirements elicitation by documenting the relevant portions of business needs in line with provided guidance.
• Facilitate software design discussions and capture design decisions to help the technical team create effective solutions.
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications while maintaining system stability.
• Conduct code reviews, apply changes to the codebase, and maintain code repositories.
• Define and execute testing strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold quality standards.
• Develop user training materials, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software.
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and propose preventive measures to enhance reliability.
• Maintain thorough records of code, testing methods, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base for similar projects.
