Data Engineer, Mid

In this mid-level Data Engineer role at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will design and implement data pipelines and platforms that bring order to diverse data for mission-driven initiatives. Based onsite in McLean, VA, you’ll collaborate with analysts, developers, and data consumers within an agile team to turn complex data into actionable insights that support critical projects.

Responsibilities

• Contribute data engineering work on mission-driven initiatives that have measurable impact.
• Build and deploy pipelines and platforms that organize disparate data into meaningful, usable form.
• Collaborate with and guide a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, engineers, developers, and data users in a fast-paced, agile setting.
• Apply analytical exploration experience to oversee the assessment, design, development, and maintenance of scalable data platforms for clients.

Requirements

• Experience with SQL, Java or Python and Spark.
• Experience working with highly structured data.
• Ability to manipulate data across different tables and schemas.
• Knowledge of data types and diverse data sources.
• Understanding of data modeling and how to make data usable for mission requirements.
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree.

Compensation

The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). This range reflects typical salaries and is one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package. This posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.
