Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Contributes to analysis and validation of data sets, solutions, and user experience.
• Supports the development, enhancement, and maintenance of a client's metadata aligned with analytic objectives; may load data into the infrastructure and contribute to creating the hypothesis matrix; prepares data for Exploratory Data Analysis and hypotheses.
• Assists in building and validating models for the overall solution and contributes to selecting the model that best supports the outcome.
• Supports research, identification and delivery of data science solutions to problems.
• Helps visualize model insights, user experience aspects, and configuration tools for the analytics solution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Foundational knowledge of data science methodologies.
• Basic understanding of business requirements and data science objectives.
• Fundamental data mapping, data transfer, and data migration skills; familiarity with analytics software including R, SAS, SPSS and Python.
• Fundamental knowledge of machine learning, data integration, and modeling skills, plus ETL tools such as Informatica, Ab Initio, and Talend.
• Basic communication and presentation skills.
• Basic knowledge of relevant data programming languages.
• Basic knowledge of data visualization techniques.
