Job Description
Data Scientist role at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, onsite in Spring, TX, with a salary range of USD 71,500 to 164,400 per year.
Responsibilities
- Contributes to analysis and validation of data sets, solutions, and user experience.
- Supports the development, enhancement, and maintenance of a client's metadata aligned with analytic objectives; may load data into the infrastructure and contribute to creating the hypothesis matrix; prepares data for Exploratory Data Analysis and hypotheses.
- Assists in building and validating models for the overall solution and contributes to selecting the model that best supports the outcome.
- Supports research, identification and delivery of data science solutions to problems.
- Helps visualize model insights, user experience aspects, and configuration tools for the analytics solution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science or equivalent.
- Foundational knowledge of data science methodologies.
- Basic understanding of business requirements and data science objectives.
- Fundamental data mapping, data transfer, and data migration skills; familiarity with analytics software including R, SAS, SPSS and Python.
- Fundamental knowledge of machine learning, data integration, and modeling skills, plus ETL tools such as Informatica, Ab Initio, and Talend.
- Basic communication and presentation skills.
- Basic knowledge of relevant data programming languages.
- Basic knowledge of data visualization techniques.
