Job Description
Noblis is seeking a Computer Vision (CV) Data Scientist to support national security missions by building, deploying, and maintaining AI/ML models that interpret visual data. This onsite role is based in Reston, VA and works within an environment that combines scientific, engineering, and mission-focused expertise.
You will contribute to model development and evaluation across images, video, and sensor feeds, with responsibilities that include versioning, performance assessment, and identifying security vulnerabilities in deployed solutions. The position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph.
What you’ll do
- Partner with the Sponsor to develop AI models enabling computers to interpret and analyze visual data such as images, video, and sensor feeds.
- Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models for capabilities including object detection, data triage, search optimization, inference, facial recognition, behavior detection, automated discovery, and decision support.
- Maintain model versioning, evaluate model performance, and identify emerging vulnerabilities to strengthen security and effectiveness.
- Identify, evaluate, and integrate cutting-edge research and open-source technologies into mission-focused AI/ML solutions.
- Design, develop, train, and optimize machine learning and deep learning models.
- Collect, curate, process, and analyze large, complex datasets to support model development.
- Research, implement, document, and communicate technical approaches, methodologies, and results.
- Leverage high-performance computing resources, including GPU clusters and cloud-based environments, to train and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver capabilities that support national security missions.
Required qualifications
- Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) clearance with a current polygraph.

Education and experience alignment:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related experience, or
- Master’s degree with 3 years of related experience, or
- Associate’s degree with 8 years of related experience, or
- High School diploma/GED with 11 years of related experience.
- Experience developing and deploying machine learning models, including expertise in areas such as statistical modeling, time-series forecasting, geospatial analytics, or computer vision (CV).

- Salary range: USD 120,700 - 188,725 per year
- Posted salary range: USD $120,700.00 - USD $188,725.00 /Yr
