Job Description
Navy Federal Credit Union offers a role for an analyst who enjoys turning data into practical, business-ready insights. This onsite position in Pensacola, FL supports work with machine learning, programming, data modeling, and advanced mathematics to uncover patterns and communicate performance and trends across the organization.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM. Salary range: USD 80,400 - 135,600 per year, with pay determined by experience, location, and market position.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and evaluate basic/routine predictive models and algorithms with some complexity
- Analyze and interpret results with some complexity using modeling and trend analysis
- Develop and code basic software programs, algorithms, and automated processes
- Collaborate with team members and participate in team projects and initiatives
- Document and present findings using effective written and verbal communication
- Apply limited judgment and discretion within defined procedures and practices
- Execute routine assignments with increasing scope and complexity
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science/Statistics/Mathematics/Computer Science/Engineering or similar quantitative field
- 2-3 years of experience in exploratory data analysis
- Experience with statistics, model development, and model lifecycle execution
- Strong data storytelling and visualization skills, with the ability to translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
- Proven experience developing and optimizing automated reporting, including dashboards and visualizations in Tableau/Power BI/Excel to communicate performance, trends, and business insights
- Hands-on technical foundation across programming, data modeling, simulation, and mathematics
- Proficiency with SQL and one or more of: R, Python, Hadoop, SAS, SPSS, Scala, AWS
- Technical writing and research skills
- Critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate and build relationships
- Initiative with sound judgment, plus problem-solving as issues are identified

- Master’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering
