Data Scientist
Job Description
HP is hiring a Data Scientist in Vancouver, WA (onsite) to apply AI and advanced analytics to business problems and measurable decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Apply AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics to extract insights from large, complex, and diverse datasets
- Build predictive and prescriptive models to support faster, smarter decisions
- Develop solutions using machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), and generative AI
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to deliver scalable data products and intelligent automation
- Translate analytical results into story-driven insights that explain the “why” behind the data
- Create data visualizations, dashboards, and presentations for both technical and executive audiences
- Lead data science initiatives from discovery through deployment, focused on measurable business outcomes
- Mentor and guide fellow data scientists and support a culture of continuous learning and innovation
- Stay current on emerging AI technologies, industry trends, and advanced analytical methods
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field
- Experience: 3+ years in data science, machine learning, analytics, or statistical modeling
- Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, R, or related technologies
- Experience working with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts through clear, compelling storytelling

- Experience mentoring team members or leading analytics projects
- Professional certifications in Python, SQL, AI, Machine Learning, or Cloud technologies
Compensation & Schedule
- Salary: USD 105,050 - 161,800 per year
- Location: Vancouver, WA (onsite)
- Schedule: Full time
- Shift: No shift premium (United States of America)
