Job Description

Deloitte’s AI & Data team in the Government & Public Services (GPS) practice helps clients design, develop, and operate data and AI platforms, products, insights, and services. This onsite role in Rosslyn, VA focuses on turning data sources into usable analytics, dashboards, and briefing-ready visuals that support exploratory, predictive, and prescriptive efforts.

Compensation: $97,700 to $162,800 per year (Virginia estimate). You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to program rules.

What you’ll do

  • Work with stakeholders to identify, access, and document data sources, definitions, and analytical needs.
  • Prepare, integrate, and analyze data from multiple sources to surface trends, issues, and opportunities.
  • Enhance existing dashboards and build visualizations that communicate data-driven insights.
  • Translate analytical findings into concise visual products and briefings for technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Use business intelligence, statistical, and programming tools to support exploratory analysis and predictive and prescriptive analytics efforts.

Core skills and requirements

  • Active Secret clearance.
  • 2+ years using Databricks or Palantir for data engineering or analytics workflows.
  • 2+ years using Qlik to develop dashboards, reports, or data visualizations.
  • 2+ years using Microsoft Excel and at least one of: Python, R, or SQL (Structured Query Language).
  • Experience gathering stakeholder requirements and delivering analytical products aligned to documented business questions.
  • Ability to travel 20%, on average.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship (now or in the future).

Additional preferences

  • Experience using Databricks machine learning or artificial intelligence capabilities.
  • Coursework or professional experience applying statistical methods and programming to integrate data from multiple sources and develop predictive or prescriptive models.
  • Experience supporting data and analytics work subject to documented security, access, or reporting requirements.
