The compensation range is USD 87,633 to 151,132.50 per year, with a comprehensive benefits package.
What you’ll do
- Develop moderately complex analytical tools that address high-value business needs across AEP.
- Use analytical and data management skills to deliver actionable business intelligence.
- Identify and acquire data needed to solve business problems, building knowledge of relevant organizational context.
- Develop components of predictive and prescriptive systems to optimize operations and support strategic initiatives.
- Apply data visualization techniques to large datasets to improve understanding and interpretation.
- Conduct research to stay current with industry practices and apply inquiry skills to clarify business processes and needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define the value additional analysis can provide.
- Work with technology partners to improve data acquisition and data management practices.
- Create clear, concise written reports and deliver oral presentations of results.
- Build reporting dashboards for status, trends, and variances, and operationalize reporting with technology and business units.
- Consult with business partners to identify, prioritize, and develop actionable insights across core business areas.
What you bring
- A Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, operations research, statistics, economics, data science, computer science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of relevant work experience. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.
- Experience with analytics packages such as SAS, R, or SPSS.
- Proficiency directing the use of analytics packages like SAS, R, SPSS.
- Database concepts understanding, with the ability to provide clear direction to staff managing data for analytics use cases.
- Collaboration experience and comfort acting as an established leader in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must establish and maintain a permanent residence within a 45-minute safe drive time to the D.C. Cook Nuclear Power Plant.
