Data Scientist, PGC Traffic Strategy and CRP

This role supports TikTok’s PGC (Professionally Generated Content) traffic strategy and CRP by analyzing user behavior and the content ecosystem to generate actionable business insights and improve the user experience. The Data Scientist will work closely with cross-functional partners to drive data-informed decisions across product initiatives.

Compensation

Base salary range: USD 179,200 - 277,200 per year.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with MLEs to improve the efficiency of the recommendation system and enhance user experience.
• Apply data science methods to evaluate the progress of the creator rewards program and propose new strategies.
• Design experimental methodologies to measure the impact of two-sided market dynamics.
• Build a metrics framework to monitor product health, track core metrics, and identify root causes of metric changes.
• Use causal inference and discovery approaches to assess causality in non-experimental settings.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in data science, statistics, econometrics, math, or a related scientific major.
• Experience: 2+ years of related work experience.
• Strong proficiency with SQL and Python or R programming.
• Excellent analysis skills and strong communication skills.
• Strong logical and quantitative skills with practical experience in recommendation systems.
• Demonstrated ability in communication and teamwork, with self-driven and self-learning habits.
• Interest in content products, including curiosity to explore and investigate details in depth.
• Experience with content products, content management tools, and creator management strategies.
• Experience operating accounts on social media and content platforms.
