Delivery Senior Consultant, Software Engineering Solutions, Identity & Gen AI Engineer
Job Description
Deloitte’s Identity & Gen AI Engineering team is shaping secure, enterprise-grade generative AI solutions with a strong emphasis on identity, access, and governance. Based in Gilbert, AZ with a hybrid work model, the Delivery Senior Consultant will design and deliver AI programs that securely connect human and non-human identities to data systems across on-premise and cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and integrate generative AI platforms, including large language model applications, retrieval-augmented generation, and AI agents, with secure access to data and downstream systems.
- Implement authentication, authorization, and identity controls for AI agents, service accounts, and other non-human identities across enterprise and cloud environments.
- Create guardrails for agentic workflows, applying scoped permissions, least-privilege access, credential and secrets management, and runtime policy enforcement.
- Establish logging, monitoring, and governance to ensure traceability and accountability of AI system actions.
- Work with IAM, security architecture, and data teams to embed identity controls into GenAI solution delivery and operations.
- Develop and sustain reference architectures, reusable patterns, and technical documentation for building and securing AI systems.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Willingness to work on-site up to five days per week.
- Minimum of three years in software engineering using Python or an equivalent language.
- At least one year of hands-on experience delivering generative AI solutions such as LLM applications, RAG, or AI agents, including use of model APIs, orchestration frameworks, and tools like Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor.
- Solid understanding of identity and access management concepts and protocols, including authentication, authorization, SSO, and standards such as OpenID Connect, SAML, OAuth, and JWT.
- Ability to travel approximately 15% on average, depending on client assignments.
- Capability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.
- Hybrid work model with residency within a commutable distance to Deloitte Delivery Centers in Gilbert, AZ, Lake Mary, or Mechanicsburg, or Geo-Hub locations in Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, Houston, and Philadelphia; up to 30% of time may be co-located at an office for opportunities, projects, training, and engagements; up to 10% overnight travel; relocation within 12 weeks if needed to reside within commutable distance.
