Consultant - AI Engineer Data Analytics

Infosys Consulting seeks a Consultant to envision and design AI-driven business solutions. The role combines AI engineering and agent development with client-facing collaboration, including delivery of LLM solutions, RAG and knowledge capabilities, and structured program execution.

Role Overview

In this position, you will design and implement AI agents and agentic workflows, including LLM-based solutions and knowledge-enabled capabilities such as RAG. You will also support a client program track, working through IT transformation activities and coordinating with stakeholders to advance milestones.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI agents and agentic workflows.
• Design, build, and scale AI products using Claude, OpenAI, and similar model providers.
• Create multi-step agents using LangChain, Google ADK, and related frameworks.
• Develop RAG, semantic search, knowledge graphs, and graph-based retrieval capabilities.
• Apply prompt engineering approaches to produce relevant responses.
• Build data pipelines, API integrations, microservices, and Python-based AI/ML solutions.
• Design and build evaluation methods to support integrity of outcomes.
• Build and maintain client relationships by understanding needs and delivering tailored IT solutions.
• Present project updates, findings, and recommendations clearly to client executives and stakeholders.
• Operate as a point of execution for project activities while supporting stakeholder engagement through IT transformation processes.
• Collaborate with project teams to maintain clear communication, effective collaboration, and on-time delivery of milestones.
• Mentor junior team members to support continuous learning and professional growth.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3+ years in backend or AI application development.
• Proven experience integrating AI agents into enterprise systems.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate with and support project teams.
• Ability to travel up to 75%.

Compensation and Location

Location: New York, NY (onsite)

Compensation: USD 84,706 - 102,941 per yearly
