Lead Data Analyst

The Lead Data Analyst at Baptist Health South Florida leads analytics professionals in developing and deploying advanced analytics to generate health and wellness insights. The role defines analytics strategies, performs data mining and exploratory analysis, and communicates findings to drive actionable decisions while ensuring ongoing monitoring of analytics processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to analysts as they build and implement advanced analytics solutions that yield valuable insights and support health and wellness initiatives.
• Define analytics strategies aligned with business objectives through data mining and by identifying opportunities to improve existing processes or uncover new benefits.
• Design approaches for exploratory analysis and extract insights from data gathered from multiple internal and external sources, including digital, clinical exhaust, and telemetry data.
• Mentor others in identifying correlations and causal relationships across datasets.
• Present findings and recommendations in clear, actionable formats to drive decision making.
• Monitor production reports, dashboards, and other analytics processes to ensure reliable service delivery and recovery.

Requirements

• Hybrid position with residency in Miami, Florida
• Master's degree required
• Experience as a Lead data analyst in a healthcare setting
• Experience with Agentic AI or agents is preferred
• Experience leading teams engaged in data querying, visualization, dashboarding, and scorecard tools
• Expert-level skills in SQL, Excel, Tableau or equivalent tools
• Ability to apply data visualization, descriptive and summary statistical techniques for discovery and timely insights
• Hands-on experience with statistical analysis, visualization, and data mining tools such as R and Python
• Experience with Epic EHR is required
• Direct experience with healthcare data and exposure to electronic health records or open healthcare data sets is strongly preferred
• Strong Power BI experience
• DBT Cloud experience required
• Visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
• SQL experience is required
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
