Job Description

Forged Fiber offers a hybrid Dallas, TX based Lead Data Analyst / Advanced Analytics Lead role that centers on turning data into trusted insights. This position oversees data ingestion, quality, governance, and advanced analytics to deliver actionable visualizations that inform decisions and boost operational efficiency. The role carries a yearly salary in the USD 135,000 to 195,000 range and a benefits package that includes health, life, and voluntary lifestyle benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, preprocess, cleanse, and validate data from diverse sources such as operational systems, external datasets, and data lakes or warehouses to ensure accuracy and readiness for analysis.
  • Oversee complex data movement and storage across multiple repositories; update interfaces as needed to support analytics.
  • Define and maintain data rules, transformations, and mapping documentation to support consistent data use across platforms.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across business platforms, repositories, dashboards, and analytics tools.
  • Work with relational and warehouse technologies to support scalable analytics.
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies across applications and reporting layers, performing root-cause analysis and driving corrective actions.
  • Implement quality assurance practices, including auditing, reconciliation, and control checks to preserve data integrity.
  • Establish repeatable processes and documentation that improve transparency and auditability of analytics outputs.
  • Analyze complex datasets to uncover trends, relationships, and drivers of business outcomes.
  • Apply advanced statistics to quantify variance, test hypotheses, and support decisions.
  • Build, test, and validate predictive models and evaluate their performance in real-world conditions.
  • Identify predictive signals, causal relationships, and trigger points to enable proactive actions.
  • Develop clear dashboards, reports, and visualizations that communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Translate analytical results into actionable recommendations, highlighting business implications and opportunities.
  • Respond to business requests with structured analyses, aligning definitions, assumptions, and success metrics.
  • Create insights that identify efficiency gains and improve decision quality to drive measurable business value.
  • Develop business cases and complex analytical models to assess process changes, financial impact, and performance optimization.
  • Influence decision-making by providing executive-ready insights, scenario analyses, and recommendations tied to outcomes.
  • Lead significant analytics initiatives with autonomy, coordinating across teams to deliver results.
  • Operate independently, using sound judgment to chart the path forward and remove barriers to progress.
  • Manage multiple priorities with clear work plans, coordinating timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations to deliver timely results.
  • Utilize a range of analytics and visualization tools and modern platforms as appropriate.
  • Leverage cloud and big data ecosystems based on project needs.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor for less experienced analysts, guiding methods, tooling, storytelling, and quality standards.
  • Contribute to long-term analytics capability through standards, templates, reusable code, and process improvements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in data analysis, business analytics, advanced analytics, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to manage complex datasets across multiple sources and repositories, including data cleansing, mapping, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Strong statistical and analytical skills with experience developing and validating models for decision support.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience building dashboards and visualizations.
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly and influence stakeholders with data-driven recommendations.
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills with the ability to manage competing demands and deliver high-quality results on time.
  • Self-directed and resourceful, able to operate with limited guidance while maintaining alignment with business priorities and stakeholder expectations.
