Machine Learning Engineer

In this role, you will build and deploy AI agents, integrate models and workflows, and help ensure ethical and secure AI systems across client-focused projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy AI agents to automate labor intensive workflows and unlock new capabilities for the human workforce.
• Align research and customer goals to accelerate turning applied innovations into contract impact.
• Develop software that enables AI agent communication, connecting models and external services via APIs, plus testing, deployment, monitoring, and reliable execution in target environments.
• Work with a mix of open source models, agentic tools, and large private commercial models.
• Create methods to secure agentic workflows and evaluate results for accuracy, performance, and impact.
• Ensure AI systems operate under ethical guidelines, with transparency and fairness in mind.
• Apply hands-on expertise with generative AI models, including prompt engineering, chain of thought reasoning, and NLP tasks such as entity extraction, summarization, and semantic search.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with CI polygraph for U.S. government work.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Familiarity with JavaScript and containerization technologies, including Docker on Rocky Linux.
• Experience developing and managing API endpoints using REST and FastAPI.
• Experience building agentic AI workflows and systems.
• Knowledge of Langchain, LangGraph, OpenAI Agents, and Pydontic.
• Experience with UVicorn as a web server.
• Experience with Streamlit for web apps.
