Job Description
Amazon Web Services' ProServe Delivery Team seeks a hands-on Machine Learning Engineer to design, implement, and scale AI and ML solutions for customers, including generative AI, to meet technical requirements and business objectives. This onsite role in Arlington, VA offers collaboration with client stakeholders and cross-functional teams, with a salary range of USD 131,300 to 177,600 per year and a requirement of a STEM degree plus at least three years of relevant ML experience.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy scalable, secure AI/ML architectures on AWS, selecting and tuning models to fit each client use case
- Develop and release ML models and generative AI applications that address real business problems, run experiments, and optimize performance at scale
- Partner with customer stakeholders to identify high-value AI/ML opportunities, gather requirements, and propose practical deployment strategies
- Provide technical guidance on applying AI responsibly and cost-efficiently, troubleshoot during delivery, and ensure alignment with best practices
- Serve as a trusted advisor on the latest AI/ML advancements, emerging technologies, and leveraging diverse data sources for maximum business impact
- Share knowledge across the organization by mentoring, training, creating reusable AI/ML artifacts, and collaborating to prototype new technologies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- 3+ years of experience with machine learning, statistical modeling, and data analysis tools and techniques
- Professional software engineering experience with full software development lifecycle practices, including coding standards, architectures, code reviews, source control, continuous deployment, testing, and operational excellence
- Active TS/SCI U.S. government security clearance
