Oil & Gas Data Analyst
Job Description
Mountain V Oil & Gas is hiring an experienced Oil & Gas Data Analyst in Buckhannon, WV to support exploration and production through accurate data management and actionable reporting.
Responsibilities
- Maintain data accuracy and integrity by applying quality control measures and following industry standards.
- Build and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and other data repositories to enable efficient data access and retrieval.
- Partner with geologists, engineers, and other technical professionals to support data-driven decision-making.
- Produce daily and weekly reports, including charts and visualizations, to communicate insights to stakeholders and management.
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of software tools and technologies for data analysis and management.
- Monitor industry trends and document best practices and technological advancements related to oil and gas data management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in data management and analysis within the oil and gas industry preferred.
- Proficiency with data management and visualization software, including GIS tools, Excel, Microsoft Access, and database systems.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, including the ability to work with large datasets.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Working understanding of oil and gas exploration, drilling, and production processes.
