Quality Data Analyst
Job Description
The Quality Data Analyst at Good Culture translates production data into actionable insights to safeguard brand quality and drive continuous improvement. This role sits at the intersection of food safety, analytics, and AI, collaborating with co-manufacturing, Operations, Product Development, and FSQA leadership.
Job Purpose Summary
Good Culture aims to zero defects by leveraging data-driven thinking. As the Quality Data Analyst, you will operate where food safety, analytics, and artificial intelligence meet, turning raw production data into insights that protect the brand and elevate cottage cheese quality.
Responsibilities
- Bridge quality and data by turning insights into a continuous, data-driven improvement workflow that the team can act on.
- Analyze defect trends using artificial intelligence, machine learning, and statistical models to detect issues early and strengthen processes.
- Monitor production data to ensure adherence to critical factors, specifications, and regulatory standards.
- Own recurring reporting for leadership, operations, procurement, finance, and executive reviews.
- Serve as the connective tissue for FSQA meetings, setting agendas, communicating progress, and aligning stakeholders.
- Track supplier performance and contribute to building and maintaining the supplier scorecard.
- Support audits and manage quality documentation.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of food safety and quality programs.
- Develop deep expertise in cottage cheese production and quality to anticipate problems before they arise.
- Support the protection and growth of a distinctive food brand, guided by the principle that Good Makes Good.
- Maintain a constructive attitude and contribute meaningfully to the team and mission.
Essential Job Responsibilities

- Analyze defect trends using AI, machine learning, and statistical modeling to catch issues early and strengthen processes.
- Monitor production data to ensure compliance with critical factors, specifications, and regulatory standards.
- Own recurring reporting for leadership, operations, procurement, finance, and executive review.
- Act as the liaison for FSQA meetings — setting agendas, reporting progress, and keeping stakeholders aligned.
- Track supplier performance and help build and maintain our supplier scorecard.
- Support audits and quality documentation management.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of food safety and quality programs.
- Develop deep expertise in cottage cheese production and quality to anticipate problems before they happen.

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Business, Statistics, or a related field.
- Strong critical thinking skills to validate information, identify bad data, and apply sound judgment when working with AI outputs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities; comfortable presenting to leadership and building relationships with co-manufacturing partners.
- Ability to work independently and know when to involve others.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Positive attitude, a desire to build something great, and a passion for cottage cheese.
Preferred
- 0–2 years of experience in tech services, food safety, or quality assurance.
- Experience with Python, LLMs, command-line tools, or APIs.
- Familiarity with AI workflows, including projects, artifacts, agentic tools, and prompt engineering.
- Food industry or co-manufacturing experience.
- Certifications such as HACCP, PCQI, or SQF Practitioner.
- Statistical knowledge and experience applying it to process improvement.

Travel Requirement
