Research Data Analyst
Job Description
Support NIH-funded multimodal research by managing data, maintaining analytic workflows, and enabling reproducible analyses.
Responsibilities
- Manage, organize, and maintain research datasets, including MRI, clinical, and behavioral data
- Ensure dataset accuracy, integrity, and compliance with data security standards
- Collaborate with technical staff to implement and maintain neuroimaging processing pipelines (including fMRI preprocessing workflows)
- Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and analysis using established statistical and computational methods
- Write and maintain processing and analysis scripts using Python, R, MATLAB, and Unix
- Work with investigators and external partners to support data access, data sharing, and reproducible workflow usage
- Create reports, summaries, and visualizations to support research findings for publications and presentations
- Carry out related duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, psychology, statistics, computer science, or a related field
- 4 years of related experience
- Experience with data cleaning, organization, and statistical analysis
- Familiarity working with large or complex datasets
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based research environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional confirmation of 4 years in data management, data analysis, or research support
- Experience working with neuroimaging or MRI data
- Familiarity with neuroimaging preprocessing tools, such as FSL, AFNI, SPM, and fMRIprep
- Experience with data visualization and reporting
- Experience supporting academic manuscripts or presentations
