SAP Data Engineer, Expert

Responsibilities

• Define and implement enterprise data governance frameworks aligned with the organization's data strategy
• Establish policies, standards, and procedures for SAP master and transactional data
• Define data ownership and stewardship models across business domains
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and privacy standards
• Design, implement, and manage SAP MDG solutions for domains
• Configure MDG data models, workflows, validations, and governance processes
• Implement data approval workflows and governance lifecycle
• Design custom governance rules and business validations
• Define data quality frameworks within the SAP landscape
• Establish data quality monitoring and remediation processes
• Define and track data quality KPIs and metrics
• Design and implement ETL pipelines using BODS for migration, cleansing, transformation, and integration
• Build data quality jobs and profiling routines
• Develop data reconciliation and data validation frameworks
• Support large-scale data migration projects from ECC to S/4HANA
• Collaborate with enterprise architects and SAP functional teams to ensure consistent data models
• Define data lifecycle management policies

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 7 years of experience in SAP data management or governance
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA
• Hands-on experience with SAP ECC
• 3+ years working with SAP MDG
• 3+ years working with SAP BODS
• Experience in large enterprise SAP programs
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA data migration programs
